About Our District Chair
Mary Jo Brentari (born to ROCK!) has done a lot. Just ask her, but remember, she is rather humble. When asked for a bio for this page, her response was "Good luck trying to get that from me!"
Mary Jo, like our district executive and district chair, has lived in many places, including Texas and Canada before moving to Anacortes, WA.
Since becoming involved in Scouting in Island District, Mary Jo has been a den leader, webelos leader, cubmaster, and committee member at the Pack level. At the district level, Mary Jo has held various committee positions and has been our district chair twice now.
Mary Jo has also been a member of various council committees, including being council training chair, where she developed a program that has brought the number of trained leaders in our council to over sixty percent. She went through Wood Badge in Canada (eh) and has been a staff member for several Wood Badge courses in Mount Baker council. Mary jo has also been University of Scouting president and mentor to many.
