The Cub Scout follows Akela. The Cub Scout helps the Pack go. The Pack helps the Cub scout grow. The Cub Scout gives goodwill.

Charter Renewal is just about completed. Thank you to all of the Units that got their paperwork completed.

Recharters are done online. This process was reviewed at the Overview Session at the October Roundtable. Your Commissioner has additional information about the Recharter process.

For your Unit to Recharter your Coordinator needs the following after the final record using the Submit button has been transmitted.

 

All Units need to bring the following paperwork:

Signed Charter paperwork-

   ·        all required paperwork mentioned on the printouts
            (eg: completed new member applications)

·        signature of Executive Officer of your Charter Partner (also known as the Institutional Head (IH))

·        signature of the Unit Leader (Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Coach, Advisor)

Are you a Quality Unit?

·        Review of the current year with your Unit Commissioner
   
There may be time left for your unit to qualify

For Packs & Troops, the completed Unit Leader Inventory, including Camping Program Coordinator

For all Units, ask these questions

·        are all families receiving Boy’s Life? If not, why not?

·        do you have two-deep leadership at all levels?

·        have your leaders been trained to provide the best possible program to the youth you serve?

Complete fees

·        $10 per youth member (regardless of what the internet printout shows)

  • plus $1 if you are transferring a member from another unit into your unit

  • or, for new members, the remainder of the 2007 calendar year membership fee and Boy's Life, if applicable

·        $12 per Boy’s Life subscription

·        $10 per Adult member

o       if an adult is a member of more than one Scout unit please indicate on the Recharter printout either “Primary” or “Multiple.” (Indicate what unit(s) the person is a member of.) Leaders identified as “Multiple” do not pay additional BSA membership fees. (Wards should show multiple-registered unit leaders Primary in the Pack or Troop if not involved in Pack.)

·        $20 Charter fee
