Cub Scout
Boys age 7 or who is in first grade are a Tiger Cub.
In Cub Scouting, boys and their families have fun and adventure in a
program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting
embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation,
courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive
attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values
come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program-all while they're
having a great time with their friends and families.

Boys age 8 or 9 and completed first grade, but not have completed
third grade are a Cub Scout.
Boys age 10, but not yet 11 ½ and completed third grade, but has not
completed fifth grade are Webelos Scout. Join Now!
Boy Scout
Boys under the age of 18 and have completed fifth grade and be at
least 10 years old, or have earned the Arrow of Light Award and be
at least 10 years old, or be age 11 or older are Boy Scout.
Boy Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions of the
BSA, is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award
and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and
are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old. The
program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character,
citizenship, and personal fitness.

Venturing
Female or male and must be age14 and not yet 21 are Venturer.
Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of
America for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the
eighth grade) through 20 years of age.
Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young
people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring

Sea Scouts is a specialized segment of the Venturing program, which
was organized to address members' boating skills and promote
knowledge of our maritime heritage.
Sea Scout units, called "ships," focus on sailing and cruising
either sailboats or power vessels. During the boating seasons, Sea
Scouts learn to maintain and operate then vessel, with a focus on
learning the safe and proper methods of handling boats. Sea Scouts
also learn the meaning of buoys and lights, how to take advantage of
wind and tide, and how to drop anchor or approach a dock.
Most ships hold formal meetings conducted in either full dress of
work uniforms. Swimming, lifesaving, first aid, Coast Guard
Auxiliary Sailing and Seamanship, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
courses are taught with the ship by our own officers. The state safe
boating course is also offered by many ships. Occasionally movies
are shown, contests between crews are held, or internship visits are

Exploring
What is Exploring?
Female or male and must be age14. Exploring is Learning for Life's
career education program for young men and women who are 14 (and
have completed the eighth grade) or 15 through 20 years old. Adults
are selected by the participating organization for involvement in
the program. Color, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation,
ethnic background, economic status, and citizenship are not criteria
for participation. and not yet 2 are Explorer.
Programs include Search & Rescue, Police, Sheriff, and Fire.
