USGS Baring At 242-2 feet, Barclay Lake provides an excellent trip for spring and fall when the higher country is snowed in. The Lake also provides an excellent view of the 6125 foot Baring Mountain and its north cliff face. Along the shores there are plenty of camping possibilities, just remember to camp a safe distance from the lake. Directions: Drive US 2 east of
Index and take a left at Baring. Drive Forest Service Road 6024
for 4.3 miles to the trailhead.
