The trail starts just east of the
Dick Sperry Campground at 1413 feet elevation and follows Marten
Creek north into Boulder River Wilderness climbing steeply to begin
with but leveling out for the final mile up the wide basin.
Directions: From Verlot travel east
on the Mountain Loop Highway 9.6 miles to the trailhead on the left
at Marten Creek.
