The trail starts following the Suiattle River Trail and then cuts right at I mile and crosses the Suiattle river entering old growth timber and climbing gradually up the Milk Creek Valley. The route winds through dark rain forest and crosses numerous streams. At 3 miles a campsite is found. The trail follows a gentle slope, then begins to climb across steep timbered hillside, going in and out of gullies, ending at the junction with the Pacific Crest Trail #2000.

Directions: From Darrington, drive north 7 miles to the Suiattle River Road #26. Follow this road for 23 miles to the road end at Sulphur Creek Campground.
